Mosquitoes are prehistoric. They have been around for a long time and, despite our best efforts, it’s clear that they’re not going anywhere soon. Mosquito control is an important part of public health and safety because of the dangerous diseases that mosquitoes can carry and disseminate. There are many ways you can help prevent mosquito breeding in your yard, but in warm humid climates, like NC summer, a stronger prevention and control system is needed.

Our story.
We are a small, family-owned and operated business, based in Burlington, NC. Husband and wife team, Alex and Collins, are hands-on owners; running day-to-day operations, answering your questions and servicing your yard. Here is how we decided to start our own mosquito control business:
A few summers ago, Collins and Alex were sitting with our two small children in our heavily-wooded backyard. We had spent tons of money buying “all-natural” bug spray at the beginning of the summer, but after it didn’t help at all, we spent more money buying a bunch of old-school chemical bug spray. It helped to keep the bugs away, but we hated spraying those chemicals all over our babies—multiple times a day! Yuck! (And sometimes our little one, only 6 months old at the time, still had big red welts from mosquito bites on his tiny head where we didn’t want to spray him. So sad!)
Our sister and brother-in-law had recently founded Mosquito Patrol in Wilmington, NC. We asked them what we could do to protect our family from mosquitoes and ticks. They said we needed to spray our YARD instead of our BABIES.
We looked into all of the mosquito control companies in our area and couldn’t find an affordable option. Luckily, we had family to help with that! So we decided to bring the family business to Burlington. In 2019 we started our first Mosquito Patrol route in Burlington and we’ve been growing ever since.
As parents, we understand the importance of keeping disease-carrying and annoying pests away from our kids and family. As small business owners, we pride ourselves in providing top-notch service to our local customers, family, and friends. As descendants of local small-business owners, we aim to provide great value pricing to serve our community for years to come.
